Solution Focused Therapy

Therapeutic Support for Adults & Children in Bath & Online

Whether you're facing challenges, feeling stuck, or just need someone to talk to, I offer Solution Focused Therapy to help you move forward with confidence.

Solution Focused Therapy is a positive, goal-oriented approach that helps individuals build on strengths, explore new perspectives, and move forward with confidence. My creative background brings flexibility to the way I work, offering alternative ways to reflect and express when words aren’t enough.

Sessions are calm, inclusive, and tailored to support each person’s unique goals — whether you're navigating challenges as an adult, a young person, or supporting a child in your care.

I offer Solution Focused Therapy for adults, children, and young people, drawing on my background in education and the creative arts. With experience in schools, private, and community settings, I support a range of SEND, emotional, behavioural, and neurodiverse needs. Online sessions also available.

What is Solution Focused Therapy

Solution Focused Therapy

For Children, Young People & Adults

I offer therapeutic support to individuals and groups using a Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) approach. Grounded in positive psychology, SFT focuses on building solutions rather than analysing problems — helping clients of all ages move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-awareness.

My practice is based on creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients are supported to explore their goals, reflect on their strengths, and identify meaningful, achievable steps toward change.

Who I Work With

I work with both adults and young people, adapting the therapy to meet individual needs, whether emotional, behavioural, or situational. Sessions can be offered one-to-one or in small groups, depending on the context and goals.

I support individuals facing a wide range of challenges — whether big or small, long-standing or more recent. These may include:

  • Anxiety, low mood, or emotional overwhelm

  • Stress, burnout, or low self-esteem

  • Life transitions, identity questions, or confidence issues

  • Relationship or family difficulties, including grief.

  • Neurodivergence (e.g. ADHD, autism, Aspergers) and SEND

  • Social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties (particularly in children and young people)

Whatever the issue, my focus is on creating a supportive space where individuals can reflect, build on strengths, and move forward in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.

Online sessions also available.

Therapy in Educational Settings

With a professional background in education, I have extensive experience working in primary and secondary schools, including with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and neurodivergent profiles. I work closely with staff and families to offer targeted emotional support within the school environment.

Sessions in schools are tailored to support individuals or small groups in:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Social skills and peer relationships

  • Focus, motivation and confidence

  • Transition periods or exam stress

  • Overall wellbeing and self-expression

Creative Options

While not essential to the work, creative approaches and art materials can be used in sessions where appropriate or requested. For some clients — especially children, young people, or those who find verbal expression difficult — having the option to engage with art-based activities can offer a helpful way to explore emotions and support the therapeutic process in a more visual or hands-on way.

No artistic experience is required — this is simply an additional tool available when it supports the individual’s process.

A Flexible, Person-Centred Approach

Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, my approach is always person-centred and goal-oriented. I work collaboratively to help each client identify what matters to them and move toward positive change — at their own pace, and in a way that feels safe and manageable.

Sessions are available in schools, private settings, or community spaces, depending on your needs for individual and small groups.

If you often find yourself slipping to the bottom of the priority pile, this might be a good moment to bring self-care back into focus.

I’ve been creating a space called Solution Forward — a calm, supportive monthly group using solution-focused therapy strategies and creativity (no experience necessary!) to help you pause, take a breath, notice what’s going well, and reconnect with your strengths so you can move forward with more ease.

Open to adults of all ages, the group offers a calm, structured space to prioritise yourself, reflect on your strengths, and develop practical next steps that support your wellbeing and progress.
